This may scare some people, but my wife and I have agreed to not worry about celebrating Valentine's Day. We like to say that we don't like to be told when to be romantic. It's so much nicer when you just let it happen.
But that's not to say that you don't have to plan for it. If you buy the romantic supersticker decorations and keep them handy, then when you have the inspiration, and a bottle of wine handy, you can surprise your loved one with a romantic gesture that truly just comes from you. Not from an industry pushing you to do it.
It will mean that much more to him/her. And that means some true appreciation. So don't worry... you can take the stickers down later. ; )
